Biography - Jae Leonhardt
Jae Leonhardt is an artist based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, whose work
blends uplifting Impressionism with touches of abstract realism.
Raised between the landscapes of Utah and Southern California, Jae
draws deep inspiration from the natural beauty that shaped her
childhood. Encouraged by her mother, artist and teacher Charlene
Higley, Jae began painting early and earned a full-tuition scholarship
to Utah State Eastern, where she received formal training and her
associate degree in art. She has continued her studies with master
artists including Trent Gudmundsen, David Koch, and Lester Lee.
Working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media, Jae’s paintings
aim to evoke joy, serenity, and the quiet wonder of life. Her work is
influenced by Monet, Degas, Klimt, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, and above all,
her mother. Jae’s art is available through Prince Gallery in Logan,
Utah, her Etsy shop, the Handmade in Idaho store, and her website, jaebirdstudio.com.
She paints full time, occasionally accepting commissions.
